There have always been debates about how far we should take technology. Some people believe we have already gone too far and as a result, humans are less safe and less healthy. Examples of technologies that have harmed us include machines that produce radiation or other harmful byproducts. Other people believe that we need to let technology evolve in order to adapt to our changing environments.

Examples of emerging technologies that may save humanity include space exploration, vaccines and antibiotics, and the development of green energy. Technology is both our savior and our downfall. Technology has already changed us and our environment so much that I believe we have developed a dependency on it to survive.
