Do you really believe that American women are horribly oppressed when there are women in other countries that cannot vote, drive, file for divorce, ETC?

I do believe women in some other countries are horribly oppressed. I don’t believe women in America, when compared to women in these other countries, are oppressed. However just because there are women in countries like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Somalia, that don’t have the same freedoms that American women have does not mean that American women are treated equally to men.

Have you ever heard the saying, “two wrongs don’t make a right?” Just because women in other countries are horribly oppressed doesn’t mean women in the US should be too. It is a very sad state of affairs to think that woman cannot feel safe anywhere in the world.
