Turn off all electronic distractions (tv, laptop, phone , etc)-electronic devices activate your brain. turn them off well before you go to bed and do something thats more relaxing for your brain, like reading a book or listening to music.
eating a hearty meal just before bedtime can wake up your body and brain- a light snack or meal is preferred
getting in that killer workout activates your mind and body and increases your internal body temperature, making it more difficult for your body to know when it is time to sleep.
making a long list of what you need to do tomorrow may cause stress and worry. make this list earlier in the day so that you can turn off your brain at night.
