The name of the family home in Seven Little Australians that provided a hint about the behavior of its occupant is letter B or Misrule. Seven Little Australians is a children’s novel written by Ethel Turner. It was published in 1894 and covers the adventures of the Woolcot children, their strict father, Captain Woolcot, and their stepmother Esther. The names of the 7 Woolcot children are as follows: Margaret or Meg, Philip or Pip, Helen or Judy, Elinor or Nell, John or Bunty, Winifred or Baby and Francis Rupert Burnand or ‘The General’. The name of the family home had been mentioned in the book most especially since the 7 children liked running wild inside their riverside home which is called Misrule.
