Elephants have excellent endurance for an animal that large. Research suggests that elephants may walk up to 200 km a day. Usually, about 30 km suffices. The elephants that walk the most are usually the ones that live in the Savannah. This is because finding food and water in the savannah is relatively harder so they have to walk long distances before they can come across food. Asiatic and the forest species of the African Elephant walk for relatively fewer amounts of time because of the presence of ample food, water, and shelter.

Elephants are animals that are commonly found in zoos. However, the African and Indian elephants also are known for living in the wild. This means that they do not live in captivity and must therefore find their own food in order to survive.

They must also find water and move around to escape being attacked by other animals. Even though elephants are large and powerful animals, they are also prey to other animals because they are so slow to move. Therefore, elephants that live in the wild must walk around a lot to find food and get away from predators.

They may walk about 50 miles a day. This may seem like a lot which it is, but also elephants walk slowly. They usually don’t run.

The answer is letter B. An elephant in the wild can walk up to 50 miles each day. However, please note that not all elephants can walk up to 50 miles each day. Asian elephants are estimated to walk up to 13 miles each day only even though they can all be active for up to 20 hours every day through walking, grazing, swimming and socializing.

African elephants, on the other hand, are known to walk up to 50 miles, but they mostly spend their day by walking near a water source so they can rehydrate themselves when they get tired. However, elephants that have rich access to food and water tend to walk only up to 9 miles each day.
