When you think of dolphins, a killer whale might not cross your mind, but in fact the killer whale is a dolphin. The killer whale is the largest known dolphin in existence today. Killer whales are also known as Orca or Black fish, although as we know they are actually not fish at all.

The male killer whale can grow 20 to 26 feet long and weigh up to 6 tons while the female is more like 15 to 20 feet and 4 tons. Either way this marine mammal is very large in proportions. The largest killer whale ever recorded was a staggering 32 feet long and weighed over 10 tons. Killer whales actually got their name because of their killer appetite.
