What do dolphins eat?

The food that will be eaten by dolphins will be different depending on the species that are available, depending on where they live. There are some dolphins that love eating cod, herring, and mackerel. There are also some dolphins that love eating larger marine animals. There are even some dolphins that eat killer whales even though they are technically considered to be under the same family.

There are also some dolphins that can eat squid, but this can be a bit of a challenge as squids usually come with a lot of defenses that may force dolphins to look for other food sources. At times, some dolphins will be perfectly content to eat turtles.

For example, they know that there is an abundance of mackerel in a certain area. It is more possible that they would eat mackerel more often as compared to the other available fish. Dolphins will also get the water and liquid that they need not from the ocean but the food that they eat.
