What kind of tools does geographers use?

Geographers use many tools to discover the types of terrain, agriculture and landforms are located in certain areas. One of the tools they use is a map. Actually, geographers use different types of maps. They may use political, physical, historical and maps with specific themes. Globes are also used for the same reasons as the maps. Geographers will use satellite images which show actual photos of landforms and bodies of water when the photos were taken in space.

Geographers may use the scale on a map to determine the area between two places or cities. Today, these scientists may use electronic maps. They will find these maps on the Geographic Information Systems which is a database of maps. Climatic maps will show the temperature and pressure in an area.
