The geologically youngest of the oceans is the Antarctic Ocean. It is claimed to have formed when South America and Antarctica moved apart more or less than 30 million years ago. Here are a few more facts about the Antarctic Ocean aside from being the geologically youngest ocean:

It is notorious for its strong winds and largest waves on Earth, it does not converge in a landmass but directly merges into the other oceans – the Atlantic, Pacific and the Indian Oceans, icebergs can form at any time of the year in the Antarctic Ocean, a large part of the Antarctic Ocean is still untouched by man, and its greatest depth is 7,236 meters which is located at the southern end of the South Sandwich Trench.
