Russia is the largest country by area which means that it has the most land. The Ural Mountains is a natural border of Russia and it is a natural border for Europe and Asia. Russia has over 17 million kilometers of land or over six million square miles of land. The northern part of Russia is very cold and snowy. Russia has about 144 million people.

There are many national parks and there are also many bodies of water like lakes and rivers that pass through Russia. The coastline of Russia is almost 23,000 miles long. Russia also claims the deepest lake, Lake Baikal. Many areas of Russia are remote due to the climate and have very few, if any, people living there.
