The Congo Basin is located in Africa near the equator. Its location in the center of Africa identifies its climate. There is much rain for the spring months and then from that point on there is a dry season for the next few months. It is common to find hot temperatures in the Congo Basin. Humidity is high as well.
The terrain of the plains and plateau allow for the temperatures to remain steady due to the area having the same elevation. Also, there are rainforests in the Congo Basin. Rain is expected from March to June. It may rain for over 100 days within the year. During those two seasons of wet and dry, the temperature remains the same with its being very hot.
