16 is the answer. 16 chromosomes will be in each of the gametes.

Gametes are haploid cells. Haploid cells contain one set of chromosomes and diploid cells contain 2 set of chromosomes from both parents.

If a diploid cell in aplant has 32 chromosomes, haploid cells in that same plants will have 16 chromosomes as they ckntain half the number of chromosomes seen in diploid cells.

I thought diploid cells had same amount of chomosomes and haploid cells had half.
