The correct answer to this question is Benito Mussolini, who was the leader of the Italian Fascist Party. Leading Italy, he was their fascist dictator from 1925 to 1945. During his time in politics, he started out as a socialist, but over time became a fascist.

During World War II, Mussolini aligned himself with the German dictator Adolf Hitler. He entered the War in 1940, a year after it had begun. During the war, Italy believed they had been losing. This is one of the reasons why he was voted out by the Grand Council. Two years later, in 1945, Mussolini was shot by a firing squad.
