It was known as a friendship treaty, which started the Rome-German Axis. The Axis name was coined by Italy's dictator Benito Mussolini. Adolf Hitler was the leader of Germany, while Emperor Hirohito was the leader of Japan. Their highlight of World War II was that they had control of many parts of Africa and Asia.
