Radical mastectomy is a medicinal surgical process, in which the best is removed along with the underlying chest muscle and the lymph nodes of the axilla depending on the requirements. This is done in response to the breast cancer. Among women, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer.

The primary treatment of breast cancer is surgery, which got developed in the early twentieth century. With an improvement in technology overtime, the latest treatment of breast cancer involves a combination of mastectomy and radiotherapy. This combination of two treatments makes recovery possible while lessening the extent of breast mastectomy.
