World War 2 begins with Hitler giving the order to invade Poland on 1 September 1939.

There were two alliances fighting each other in WW2, which were

1> The allies which included USA, France, Australia, soviet union, Canada, Great Britain and its colonies.

2> The axis powers which include Germany, Italy, Japan.

Many countries like Portugal, Switzerland, Ireland, Andorra declared neutrality.
