When people hear the word “network,” they think of a television network or a device that transmits communication or information over to another place. However, not all networks are the same size. Some networks only cover a small space. Once you leave the area that the network covers, then you can’t use the network until you step back into the network space. The largest type of network is called the wide area network.

This is known as WAN. The largest Wan is actually the Internet. The Internet is able to communicate smaller networks. This WAN would control the cloud, and all of their smaller branches in their city. By being connected by VPNs, the WAN can work. VPN stands for virtual private network.
