A service V-model is called that because of the way it is shaped in graphic organizer when all of the information is placed in it. It shows the lifecycle or all of the components in the order in which they occur about the development of software systems. It begins with the project definition which include the concept of the operations, requirements and architecture and the design. The implementation of the system is next which includes the time.

The final part is the project test and integration. At this step, it includes the verification and validation followed by the operation and maintenance. Therefore, this Service V model represents the levels of configuration in order to do a function related to the service it provides.
