Junctional rhythm is heart problem when it beats abnormally. The heart rhythm is abnormal. The cause of this is from a particular point of tissue in a part of the heart. It causes problem between the atria and the ventricles. The natural pacemaker in the heart determines the pace of the heartbeats. There is an electrical activity that passes and causes the heartbeats.

If a student wonders if they have junctional escape rhythm, they can go to the hospital and get an ECG. It will show whether the person has this abnormal heart rate problem. Another heart problem is called the junctional escape beat which is the heartbeat is slower because it is delayed at certain points. This is caused by the SA node as well.
