Most countries in the world use the metric system in scientific research and engineering because the metric system is very precise.

Also because these units are decimal-based and can be easily converted by moving the decimal point. It makes calculations much easier than any other unit system. Due to its consistent system of measurements, people prefer the metric system.

The metric system is very precise.-the metric system is a very precise system that allows for the measurement of very small amounts of matter. for example, the metric system uses measurements divided into thousands (millimeters or milligrams), while the english system uses larger units of measurement, like inches and ounces. (a) and (b) contain perhaps true statements and opinions, but they fail to address the question. (d) is incorrect; the english system does not have a simple way to compute measures. the metric system is based on 10, and the computations are a lot easier. competency 024
