What would you see while spell checking the phrase My father was write?



A. The word write is misspelled
B. No errors
C. The verb of the phrase will be highlighted
D. A blue squiggly underline under the word write

The answer to this is D. You will see a squiggly line underneath the word “write.” The sentence itself does not make any sense but if the verb will be changed to the word “right,” then the sentence will become clearer. There are moments when this may not be detected easily since the spelling is also correct but there are a lot of errors that will be detected by MS Word.

If this is not detected, there are other grammar checkers that can be found online that will highlight the misspelled word and will give suggestions on the right word that can be used instead.
