Wordpad and Notepad are both programs that a user can use for writing. Word pad is apart of Microsoft Word. It is a lighter version, which does not allow for as much formatting as Word does. It is best for plain text files and for files that have rich text format. RTF (rich text format) is the most popular use of a Word pad. This is because when the program opens this type of file, it automatically takes out all of the keywords. Notepad is even simpler than a Word pad. The only basic formatting that it supports is changing the font. Notepad is not suitable for RTF files because it looks at the keywords as plain text and will use them in the document.

Word pad is a lightweight form of a word that permits a small amount of formatting. It is best for managing pieces of the RTF (Rich Text Format) postponement and text files. Notepad is simply a text editor, and it is the most trivial of all. It is only capable of the most minimal formatting, such as fonts and sizes.

You do not have selections for a paragraph like an alignment or even add bulleted lists. RTF is the most popular procedure for word pad since it uses keywords that can be implanted in the document itself to create a bit of formatting.

When word opens an RTF file, it acknowledges all of these keywords and takes them out of the final output. Since the note pad thinks that the file it opens is only in plain text, the characters that RTF file are used to format documents.
