There is one thing that you should know about LinkedIn: they are very proactive and looking for and blocking fake recruiters. Still, this does not mean that people will always be legitimate whenever they are on LinkedIn. If you come across some LinkedIn profiles that seem suspicious, do not waste your time anymore.

You can just report them so that the website will try to see if they are real recruiters or not. Most of the large companies on LinkedIn are legitimate and are actively searching for employees that will be perfect for the type of environment that their company has. You will be given an option to send messages to companies that you would like to apply for.

Yes, most of the job recruitments on LinkedIn are legit. The purpose of LinkedIn is to serve as a professional social media platform, where job seekers can connect with recruiters to find jobs and build relationships. Millions of people have found job and built lasting relationships through LinkedIn.

However, like any website, LinkedIn does have people who post on their platform and do so as a scam. One way to avoid these scams is to use the platform to communicate. Professional recruiters will not use personal emails to communicate. You can also do a few minutes of research to see if the person is really affiliated with the company as they say they are.

LinkedIn is all about sincerity and transparency, so most job recruitments through LinkedIn are legit. However, this does not mean the platform does not house some unscrupulous elements who disguise as job recruiters to scam unsuspecting job seekers. It is usually advisable to subscribe for paid services on LinkedIn so you won't be a victim. However, it is easier to figure out which job recruitments are scams and which ones are legit. The best way to confirm is by visiting the websites included in the job posting. By doing this, you would know if those companies truly exist. Another reason why job recruitments on LinkedIn are legit is that job posting on LinkedIn is not cheap, meaning scammers would also have a rethink before they spend that kind of money on something that is not genuine. Also, you need to build your profile such that you would be attracting the right set of people.

All job sites tend to be risky endeavors. LinkedIn has had its fair share of issues. For example, if you have ever received mail at 2 am, ask that you help someone transfer money into your bank account, and this is a blatant scam. Scammers will sometimes target sites like LinkedIn with fake personas that make promises that are not possible. People have fallen prey to scams, but that does not take away from the efficiency of LinkedIn or the number of jobs it has helped its users to obtain. It is important to remember that you should not give away your bank information or any personal information of any kind. This practice will cut down on the number of scammers trying to manipulate and deceive innocent people.
