A hard drive is a device that can allow people to store digital data, such as documents, music, and games. When it comes to hard drives, WD, which stands for Western Digital, is one of the leading companies that manufacture hard drives.

They offer many types of drives to their consumers, and two of those are WD Caviar Black and WD Caviar Green. Between the two, the Caviar black is seen to be a better performer than the Green. It is faster and has more power. Some users prefer the Green because it has less energy, which accounts for the name green.

WD Caviar Green vs Black are two types of hard disks from Western Digital. Although both are produced by the same company, they differ in so many ways. In terms of performance, the WD Caviar Black is considered to be better than the Green.

However, one of the issues with the WD Caviar Black is that it makes more noise compared to the WD Caviar Green. Another advantage of the WD Green over the WD Black is that it consumes less power compared to the latter.

While the WD green hard drive begins at 86 mb/s, but ends at 65 mb/s, the WD Black hard drive ends at 85 mb/s but begins at 110 mb/s. The WD Green is a 5400 RPM drive, whereas the WD Black is a 7200 RPM drive. However, one of the advantages of the WD Black over the WD Green is that the former is faster than the latter.

The "WD" part of this topic actually refers to "Western Digital," which is one of the top leading industries when it comes to the manufacturing of hard disks. So, the WD Caviar Black and the WD Caviar Green are two kinds of hard disks that are produced by this company. The first thing I will like you to know is that the WD Caviar black has been claimed to be of better performance when compared to the WD Caviar Green.

The WD Caviar Green is actually considered a hard disk for general use, and the WD Caviar Black is known to consume more power and also noisier. Now you should understand that the WD Caviar consumes less power and also less noisy.

When it comes to their speeds, the WD Caviar Green has a 5400 revolution per minute speed, while that is the WD Caviar Black is 7200 revolution per minute. The Black drives use 64 percent of energy when reading or writing compares to the 35 percent less energy of the Green drive.

WD Caviar Green and Black are two types of western digital hard drives and both have certain advantages over each other. One of the things to consider if you would be going for any of these two is their performance. In terms of performance, WD Caviar Black should be your preferred hard drive because it has higher performance compared to WD Caviar Green.

However, one of the downsides of WD Caviar Black is that it consumes more energy, and also noisy. In contrast, WD Caviar Green is a better choice if you want a hard drive that makes less noise. In addition, WD Caviar Green does not consume more power like the Black.

In terms of speed, WD Caviar Green has a speed of 5400-rpm, whereas WD Caviar Black has up to 7200-rpm. Another thing to consider is their price, and this also doubles as one of their differences. WD Caviar Black is quite expensive compared to WD Caviar Green.
