A lot of people usually become confused between flying ants and termites because they tend to look alike at first glance. One of the things that you will notice is that there is a difference between the sizes of their wings.

The wings of flying ants are larger as compared to the size o the wings of termites. Another difference that you will notice with the wings is that the wings of the termites are usually uniform in size.

You can also look at their antennae if you want to know what insect you have at home. The antennae of a termite will be very straight while the antennae of the flying ant will usually be a bit bent. Some say that the antennae of the flying ant seem to be elbowed.
