Ocean kayaks are produced of more rigid materials than river kayaks, such as carbon Kevlar, rotomolded polyethylene, or fiberglass. River kayaking is a more traditional form of kayaking. It is more for beginning kayakers and safety-conscious people. River kayaks generally go for around 7 to 10 feet an 12 to 18 inches wide. It’s made of cheaper materials such as plastics like polyethylene or wood, and it is not meant to withstand or tolerate too much damage to it. For this reason, they are kept affordable for ordinary people. River kayaks have a larger cockpit for accessible entrance and exit with little or no baggage around. Ocean kayaks are built tough, and they can withstand undesirable weather and changing currents in the ocean.
