There is no big difference between the Republican Party and the Tea Party. The Republican Party is one of the two major parties in the United States. One of the core beliefs of the party is to form a government that is very conservative in its spending. The Republican Party has been in existence for so many years and has proven itself as a formidable party to the Democratic Party.

The Tea Party, on the other hand, is not a political party like the Republican Party, it started in 2009 as a movement to rise against the increase in the tax being planned by the Obama led administration. The Tea Party was created by some angry members of the Republican Party who felt that the leadership of the Republican Party was not addressing certain issues in the country.

Also, the Tea Party was created to ensure that only Republicans that are ready to promote the Republican Party's ideas are supported.
