A lot of people know that RAM and ROM are important for any computer. When you say RAM, this stands for Random Access Memory. When you say ROM, this means Read-Only Memory. It may seem like the RAM is something that you will use for storing your files, but it is actually the opposite. The RAM can be used when you are storing files temporarily while ROM can be used when you need to have permanent storage.
RAM will usually store data in MBs, while ROM will usually store data in GB. The files that you have stored in ROM will still be there on your computer when you turn it off, while those that are in RAM will be gone when your computer turns off accidentally.
