How is LA Tomatina celebrated?

La Tomatina is an event in Bunol that people are looking forward to every year. The participants of this event would equip themselves with a lot of tomatoes that they will throw at each other for entertainment purposes. This usually happens during the last Wednesday of August so people who would like to take part in this event plan ahead so they can arrive on time.

Once it starts, it will only last for an hour. This is shorter than the other events and festivities that you may attend but the number of tomatoes that are used for this fight is staggering so one hour will be enough to have a lot of fun.
