Raksha Bandhan is a popular Hindu tradition but it seems that even those who are not Hindu participate in this celebration too. This started out in the year 1905 with the help of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The meaning of this celebration is to make sure that relationships between the Hindu and Muslims will become stronger.
At that time, people were still against different races and so much more. In fact, this may still happen right now but this celebration is meant to make people remember that even with the differences, people are all human beings and everyone deserves to become brothers even if they are from different races and religions.
