The simple truth is, abortion is not the same as miscarriage. There is a significant difference between abortion and miscarriage, although the two words are talking about the loss of a pregnancy. When there's an untimely death of an unborn baby, it is either as a result of an intentional act or due to complicated health issues.

Abortion usually comes with intentional decision to kill an unborn through the use of chemical products like medicine, due to one reason or the other. Most people who are victims of rape and sexual assaults often result to aborting the pregnancy so as to save themselves from imminent shame. Miscarriage, on the other hand, is the spontaneous natural termination of pregnancy and this can be caused by many other related health issues. Miscarriage is never an intentional act unlike abortion. We can also say, miscarriage is the end result of abortion, because when you abort a pregnancy, it will definitely lead to miscarriage.
