I think that the abortion laws are just right. There are laws stating that abortion can only take place in the first and second trimesters. There are some variations depending on the state. As long as the baby has not reached the third trimester yet, then it can still be aborted.
Partial-birth abortion is still considered to be illegal because if the baby is already born alive, then it has the right to live. A lot of the laws regarding abortion states that abortion can be done if the pregnancy can truly affect the life and the health of the woman. Abortion laws are created in order to protect women and not children.
A lot of people think that abortion is equivalent to baby-killing. I think it would depend on the circumstances surrounding the abortion. There are some parents who decide to abort their children because of different reasons. Some do it because they cannot afford it. They know that these children will only end up at the adoption center wherein it may never get adopted. It may be placed from one foster home to another.
The child would end up being bitter and angry because of the hard world that he/she has experienced. I do not think that abortion, in general, is equivalent to murder but when it comes to late-term abortions, I would have to say that it is great that partial-birth abortion law states that those who are in late-term of their pregnancy cannot abort their children anymore.
