What is the difference between Propane and Ammonia Gas?

There are a lot of differences between Propane and Ammonia gas. Although, there is presence of hydrogen in the two gases which is one of the similarities between them apart from the fact that they are both gases. Ammonia is an inorganic compound and gas specifically and has the molecular formula of NH3. Nitrogen and Hydrogen are the two constituents of the compound.

It is highly soluble in water and it is lighter than air. The gas can be produced in the laboratory and is gas available in the atmosphere because it is also produced from animal and vegetable decays. While Propane is an organic compound and is a member of alkane family. Carbon and hydrogen are two constituents of the compound with the molecular formula of C3H8. It is a natural gas gotten as petroleum bye product and can be used as fuel for engines, cooking stoves etc.
