The most controversial archaeological finding was the Kennewick Man. The skeletal remains of the ancient man were found in In the summer of 1996 when 2 students happened to stumble on the remains that ended up being the most controversial in history. The skeleton was 8,500-years old and was a Native Americans on Native American soil. That sparked a big debate between Native Americans and scientists.
