Liquor is definitely legal in Switzerland. They do have laws about drinking, however. The official legal drinking age in the country is 16 when it comes to beer, wine and cider. You must be 18 for spirits like straight alcohol or mixed cocktails or likes. Drinking and driving are for sure dealt with harshly.

The blood alcohol legal limit is 0.05 percent whereas in the US the legal limit stands at 0.08 percent. The country does have in place random breath testing.
