How many empires have existed in Mexico?

Mexico is a country located in the southern part of North America. The country is blessed with a lot of indigenous traditions and civilizations. One big empire in Mexico before Mexico was conquered and colonized by Spanish is Aztec empire. Aztec empire was colonized in the 16 century by the Spanish and Aztec which was the capital of Tenochtitlan became the capital of the Spanish Mexico City.

Due to the conquest of Aztecs empire, Spanish empire came into being and most of the Spaniards culture and civilizations were adopted by Aztecs and that was how Mexico became a Spanish speaking country. Today, to differentiate between a Spaniard and Mexican would be very hard because of many similarities which have been shared by the Spaniards and the Mexicans. So there was Aztec empire before Spaniards took over the Aztecs and there was Spanish empire after the conquest of Aztecs.
