Some may assume that Aztecs and Mayans are the same but they are two different types of civilizations that the Spaniards encountered when they tried to take over the world. The Aztecs believed in human sacrifice. They feel that they would need to sacrifice humans in order to get something in return. The Mayans believed in sacrificing blood. They do not want to take another person’s life to get something back.

The Mayans were very particular about time and they wanted to know as many details about it as they can. The Aztecs were more focused on war. They wanted to fight with the neighboring tribes. The geographical locations of these two civilizations are also different from each other.
