In the United States, passports do not last forever. After you get one, after about seven to ten years, you must renew it. It will expire and you can no longer use it. In Austria, you must apply for it and bring in your official documentation including birth certificate, marriage certificate and driver’s license, to name a few. It usually takes a lot of paperwork in order to get the passport.

Similar to the United States and other countries, an Austrian passport lasts for ten years and take about a month to a month and a half to get the passport. Once you receive the passport, you can tour mostly any country you would like to visit with this passport.
