The term for Uranus which is the “Sideways Planet” comes from the fact that it is tilted sideways. If you would observe the other planets in the solar system, you will not find another planet that is like this. This spins on its side and this is the reason why its rings that are a bit darker than that of Saturn’s are also titled sideways.

Some have theorized that this is because of a cosmic crash that has occurred in the past. It was able to knock off a portion of the planet and has caused it to have an obvious tilt. The cosmic crash may also be responsible for the planet’s many moons.
