Noodles are so easy to eat as a quick meal, dry for a ready meal, and lie under sauces of all description. Hence their popularity. Many think of noodles as an Italian invention because of their similarity to pasta but this idea is wrong.
In fact the origin of noodles is from China, the evidence of this coming from a 2005 archaeological find, Amazingly, a bowl of perfectly preserved noodles came to light when piles of sediment were removed in a dig. Their age was determined as 4000 years ago! This is the earliest example ever found of his popular food.
