The amount of caffeine in a coffee bean depend on the size of the coffee bean, how it is prepared and how darkly the coffee bean is roasted (darker coffee bean contains 10 - 15% less caffeine).

Crackhead, a coffee manufacturer, conducted a test on their chocolate. The test result stated that 6mg of caffeine was gotten from a coffee bean and 1mg from the chocolate.

According to that test, the average amount of caffeine in a roasted coffee bean is 6mg. Robusta bean are known to contain more caffeine than an Arabica bean.
