Is snare drum the most used form of drums?

I am not sure if a snare drum is considered the most used form of drums but it is certainly quite popular because snare drums can be found in “orchestras, concert bands, marching bands, parades, drum corps, and more.” I also noticed when researching drum sets to purchase for children, several of the sets available for purchase do not include a snare drum.

In fact an article called “Best Drum Set for Kids of 2018 – Your Ultimate Guide” lists 5 drum sets and only one set includes a snare drum. The snare drum is not included in four out of the five sets.
