Michael was very envious of Diana, even though they had a long-lasting friendship. He named her to be the guardian of his children. When Jackson moved to Los Angeles at age nine, he lived with Diana Ross for some time. He also was obsessed with powerful women in show business and Diana Ross was the first female artist to whom he was ever drawn.
Dianna was a significant influence on him ever since the beginning of his career. He was once invited to her film set while shooting, "Lady Sings the Blues." He would almost study her performances. He idolized her, and he tried to emulate her. When Jackson made his solo debut, he did it on one of Diana Ross’s TV specials.
