The CEO of Facebook is Mark Zuckerberg and it will be weird if he knew nothing about the things that have happened between Facebook and Cambridge Analytica. According to speculations, he probably has a huge influence on everything that has occurred unless Cambridge Analytica made deals with other people within Facebook. The revenue that Facebook gets is through advertising.

By providing the details that consultancy firms need, they start to make more money than usual. Do remember that Facebook is totally free. People can make accounts and not worry about paying for anything. People became alerted of what’s happening and this has put a stop to the data feeding.

As CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg definitely had a hand in working and selling private user data to Cambridge Analytica. It was obvious as to why he chose to do it. Facebook is a free social media website. All users use the site for free and do not have to pay any fees. All of the revenue that is generated by Facebook is done strictly by advertising. When the idea came of selling private user data to a political consulting frim in order for them to do their job, Zuckerberg looked at it as a revenue generator for Facebook.

The thing is that the idea backfired. Users became alerted and then there was the whistleblower in former Cambridge Analytica employee, Christopher Wylie. Wylie showed that Facebook was willing to sell its private user data to the highest bidder. Users spoke up and demanded an explanation and it was Zuckerberg who stood up to represent his company and its response. One can certainly bet that Mark Zuckerberg was involved in the Cambridge Analytica scandal.
