Social media websites are not supposed to leak information about their users to different third-party websites. Yet, because of the huge scandal that Facebook was in recently, more and more mobile apps and websites are checked. It was not really surprising to know that there are some sites that are checked and confirmed to be leaking information to other sites.

If you are fond of using adult services applications, expect that most of your personal information has already been released to third party websites. You can always research more about the website or the application before signing up. This way, you can keep your personal information safe and secure.

With the Cambridge Analytica scandal at Facebook becoming so well known and exposed all throughout the world, there are no other social media sites that leak and or sell the personal information of their users. Social media users have made their voices known that they want the social media sites that they employ have the users best interests in mind. If it was not for the whistleblower Christopher Wylie then there would be a good chance that people would not even know that Facebook was selling user information under the users' noses.

The other major social media sites allow adverstisers on their sites. That is their main source of revenue, especially for a free service. They do not let personal information be part of the ads as what was being done with Cambridge Analytica and Facebook and what started this privacy debate in the first place. It has set the precedent of how social media sites and other online sites handle the personal information of their users.
