Valid elements of a service design package (SDP): agreed and documented business requirements, a plan for the transition of the service, requirements for new or changed processes, and metrics to measure the service.

A service design package is a set of documents and agreements that are assembled to provide context around a service, basically providing the who, what, where, when, and why of an information technology (IT) service. The SDP is the core documentation of service and it builds upon the Service Level Requirements (SLR) of an agreement.
