In Ithe IT service industry it is vital that change is managed reliably and fast but without any hiccups. All change must be managed. Change-related incidents will impact on service and upon many users and so change must be regarded with the utmost seriousness. Changes can be analysed to ensure efficiency.

However, one kind of change cannot wait for analysis or a Change Advisory meeting. The emergency change. The Emergency Change Manager assists the Change Manager in evaluating and deciding on actioning the change should be approved so that essential services are maintained and risks to service minimised.
