The Availability Manager process manager requires a report specifying the duration of an interruption of a Configuration Item. The Availability Manager is a role responsible for day-to-day overall management tasks such as defining, analyzing, planning, measuring and improving all of the different pieces of the information technology (IT) services, and ensuring each application system stays available.

This person is required to make sure all infrastructure, processes, tools, roles, and more match the service levels that were agreed upon in the contract with each client. They are also responsible for continual improvement of the process.
