A malware is a type of software that is usually disguised as another program that you may think will be helpful for your computer. For example, you may go to a website then a pop up will appear informing you that the process of your computer can be faster if you download a certain software.
Once you have allowed the computer to download the software, you will also be allowing the malware to infiltrate your computer without your knowledge. Some would take some time before the virus makes the presence known and there are also others that would immediately cause your computer to crash because of the problematic files.
