There are many medical issues that are caused by genetics. This means that if a person’s mother, father and other relatives have had certain medical issues, then this person might also have this medical issue at some point in their lives. Kidney stones are painful problems that are acquired due to calcium forming deposits in the kidneys. These stones may pass, but usually people have to have surgery or medication in order to remove these stones.

Sometimes, the medication will break up the kidney stones so that the person can pass them naturally. There is a strong chance that kidney stones are hereditary. If someone suspects of having kidney stones, then they should look into their family history and then go to the doctor to get this problem taken care of.
